Canadian Innovation
USAVA Construction Equipment was founded in 1985 in Toronto, Ontario by brothers James and William Thompson, who had extensive experience in the construction industry. They identified a gap in the market for high-quality, durable equipment specifically designed for Canadian conditions.
Starting with a single manufacturing facility and a small team of dedicated engineers, USAVA initially focused on producing specialized excavators. The company's commitment to quality and innovation quickly earned a reputation among Canadian construction firms.
By the late 1990s, USAVA had expanded its product line to include wheel loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment. The company's growth continued with the opening of additional manufacturing facilities across Canada, including sites in Alberta and Quebec.
Today, USAVA is one of Canada's premier construction equipment manufacturers, employing over 1,500 Canadians and exporting equipment to countries around the world while maintaining our commitment to quality and Canadian manufacturing excellence.
